Alfa Model Nakajima Ki.84a Hayate ARF

Alfa Model, Ltd. of Prague, Czech Republic, is a designer and manufacturer of foam park flyer-sized radio controlled electric aircraft, brushless motor systems and ducted fan motor systems founded in June 2002 by a group of aerospace engineers and R/C hobbyists. Distribution is handled by US-based mail order firm Hobby Lobby.

The prepainted ARF kits are of extremely high quality and are quickly and easily assembled. In lieu of a manual, a single, easy-to-follow instruction sheet similar to those found in static model kits is included.

Construction is of extruded foam with a thick polymer outer skin and balsa and plywood bracing. Servo trays are constructed of thin plywood with a balsa core for added strength. Since most Alfa Model aircraft lack landing gear, the underbellies are of reinforced plastic. As is the case with most manufacturers, Alfa makes their canopies, engine cowlings and cockpits from vacuum-formed sheet styrene.

At present, the model lineup consists entirely of World War Two and Korean War scale subjects.
