In radio control, a module is a term for a solid-state frequency synthesizer that is easily removed from a high-end R/C transmitter in order to switch operating frequencies via a change to another module. This is not to be confused with a crystal.

Recent developments by Spektrum allow a modular 75 MHz radio used for surface models to operate on the internationally standardized 2.4 GHz band.
